Farmer's Market

Applications for the 2017 Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) will be available in June.  The SFMNP is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) and the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA).

Process and Guidelines

The SFMNP applications will be available on a first come, first serve basis or by lottery at designated locations in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina counties.  Applicants can only apply for the coupons in the county in which they live and at a location specified by their zip code.  Proof of address will be requested from each consumer.  Participants must be 60 years of age or older and have a combined household income of 185% or less of the federal poverty level guidelines.  Eligible participants will receive $50.00 in coupons to purchase fresh locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey from participating farmers.
