2011-2012 Notice to Bidders for Older Americans Act Nutrition Program
The Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) will be accepting sealed bids for catered meals. For complete instructions and bid specifications visit WRAAA’s website at http://www.psa.10a.org. One (1) complete Bid Packet with original signatures plus one copy of the application must be received by WRAAA at 925 Euclid Avenue, Suite 600, Cleveland, Ohio 44115 by 2:00 p.m. on October 4, 2010. Faxed or emailed bids will be rejected. It is the responsibility of an Applicant to obtain from WRAAA a receipt to verify delivery of the Applicant’s bid packet.

NO BID WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM ANY BIDDER WHO DOES NOT ATTEND THE COMPULSORY BIDDERS CONFERENCE ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2010 AT 1:00 PM. THE BIDDERS CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD at WRAAA, 925 EUCLID AVENUE, SUITE, 550, TOWNSEND ROOM.
Each bid in excess of $10,000.00 must be accompanied by a "Bid Bond" executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, "Certified Check," "Cashier's Check" or "Money Order" drawn on a solvent bank or Savings and Loan Association, payable to WRAAA in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the amount bid, conditioned that if such bid is accepted, the bidder shall execute a contract in conformity to the bid specifications.
Bids will be reviewed for completeness and compliance with required formats. WRAAA will reject the following bids:
1. The bid is not received by the stated due date and time, or the bidder did not attend the compulsory bidder’s conference and the application was erroneously accepted by the WRAAA.
2. The application is missing any required document listed on the document checklist.
3. The application is missing any required signature.
4. The application is emailed or faxed.
5. The application contains altered application forms and/or formats.
6. The application responses are hand written and/or not in a legible font style or size.
It is not the responsibility of WRAAA, upon receipt of a bid application, to notify an applicant if they have not met any of the above listed application deadline requirements for completeness and/or compliance with required formats, even if the bid application is submitted before the stated deadline.
