WRAAA is currently accepting nominations for individuals and organizations who are exceptional in helping older adults and persons with disabilities maintain their independence through:
Please nominate a person or organization who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to helping these individuals achieve independent living within their community. The award recipients should demonstrate outstanding performance as it relates to creating opportunities for independent living. One winner will be selected from each of the 5 counties served by the WRAAA (Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina). In addition, nominations are being sought for individuals whose volunteer efforts have contributed to the aging and/or disability community; and one individual who will be awarded the BRI Katz Advocacy Award for their efforts contributing to the legislative advancement for the aging and/or disability population. Nominations must be received by WRAAA before or on March 20, 2012. Please join us as we honor our award recipients at the WRAAA Annual Luncheon and Lecture on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Holiday Inn - Independence. WRAAA is privileged to work with such a wonderful network of individuals and organizations committed to the principles of independent living.
